ASSOCIATION OF COMBATANTS OF THE CUBAN REVOLUTION

What is the ACRC?

Founded on December 7, 1993, it is the fruit of the struggles of our people to achieve the objectives of social justice, freedom and independence of those who sowed the seed of the nation by marching to the jungle to win independence, of which they let themselves be crushed by the frustration that the Yankee intervention brought and they continued fighting for the unreached ideals, of those that incorporated into the battle the formidable weapon of Marxism-Leninism and its objectives of social justice, of those that fought, in the mountains or in the streets, the last stage of the war of national liberation, and of the millions of Cubans who since 1959 have turned the revolution into the flesh and soul of the people.

The Founding President was the Commander of the Revolution Juan Almeida Bosque.

It is a self-financed social organization, with its own legal personality, voluntarily integrated by combatants with the right to belong to it and its operation is based on the use of activism.

Its raison d'être is to unconditionally defend the revolution, in all fields through the active participation of its members in the political and ideological struggle and in the tasks of armed defense and internal order, the development of patriotic education, military and internationalist among the combatants, their families and the population, especially with youth and children, the strengthening of unity among the associates around the Party and the Revolution; as well as supporting our associates with greater age, health, economic and social difficulties in the efforts to solve their problems.

The municipalities of Santiago de Cuba and Camagüey due to their size and for their better functioning and management have districts

The municipal (district) directorates are supported by working groups created in the territories of the popular councils, as auxiliary bodies to facilitate the management of grassroots associations.

The Base Association is the support of the organizational and functional structure of the ACRC and is created as a rule in the demarcation of a constituency.
